River Honoring

Driving over the swollen Clark Fork river today made me think about some video and stills of the Salish/Kootenai river honoring ceremony on the Flathead River that I shot for the National Wildlife Federation last summer.  We’re lucky to have so many great rivers in Montana.  If you want to take a minute to honor rivers, watch the short video of selects below the photos.  You can also click on any of the photos below to view them bigger.

  1. Very importabt. Thanks for posting this. I just returned from Swan Island (Islas del Cisne) where the beaches are untouched by anyone and they are covered with floats-some and trash from humanity. We cannot escape from ourselves. L
