“Hello world!” is the title of the default post that is automatically generated when you register a WordPress account. My more web-savvy friends tell me that it’s an old (in web years) greeting coders use when they launch something into the web-o-sphere. I like it. Kind of captures the weirdness of addressing a massive and unknown audience – or at least unknown.
I’m kind of a perfectionist – which means that I’ll use anything as an excuse to keep from “launching” something. So this blog is my cannonball into less-obsessive content creation. My hope is that it can perform the functions of a traditional website but that it will also allow clients, friends and random web-surfers a better picture of who I am and what I do. I’ve maintained a healthy skepticism about the rise of social networking on the web but I’m going to give it a try and hope that wearing my heart on my cyber-sleeve will somehow lead to more direct connections with people rather than replace them. Thanks for dropping in. I encourage you to snoop around a little and welcome your feedback. I’m still figuring out how all this works and there is a lot of content to come so please excuse the construction and drop back by sometime. Thanks!
